It is recommended (not required) that Foundation Drawing and/or Color Theory have been completed before taking a Workshop class. Please contact Patrick for more information.

DESCRIPTION: Using black & white students will learn how to draw objects in pencil and charcoal. Students will first draw in simple line and focus on proportion. Handling light, shadow and texture will be the main focus for this course. Color may be introduced following the completion of a rendered pencil or charcoal drawing.

Supplies needed for this course are:

Strathmore 11" X 14" spiral bound sketch book.

HB graphite pencil

4B graphite pencil

Kneaded eraser

Black charcoal sticks and pencils

Newsprint paper

Tracing paper

Charcoal paper

A full list of supplies with prices will be available before the course begins. All supplies for this course can be purchased and picked up at the studio. Supplies are not included in the cost of the course.
